MANAGEMENT BODIES
To understand the division of responsibilities, it is necessary to be familiar with the LNPA’s governing bodies, which are as follows:
-
-
- The General Assembly: This assembly is the supreme governing body of the LNPA. It meets during the first six months of the year and may impose its decisions on the other governing bodies.

The Board of Directors has the broadest powers to conduct the affairs of the LNPA within the framework of the bylaws and regulations. The Board of Directors may establish special committees and determine their composition, organization, and authority.

LNPA INSPECTORS
Inspectors must complete training on the following five topics:
- Cooperation with the police
- Cooperation with the veterinary inspection agency
- Cooperation with customs
- Acting as an advocate for animals
- The role of the veterinarian
Upon completion of this training, they receive an ID card that authorizes them to conduct field operations on behalf of the LNPA.
The Missions
Education:
Many people's behavior toward animals stems more from ignorance than from malice.
Enforcement measures:
In cases of animal abuse or obvious cruelty toward animals, the matter is referred to the appropriate authorities.
If a complaint is filed regarding the abuse of an animal, shelter officials assign an inspector to conduct the necessary investigation. The inspector forwards the complete case file to the LNPA, along with a report and, if applicable, photographs. Based on this information, the LNPA decides whether to file a complaint with the court.
If you wish to file a complaint, please contact our office: by phone at 45 45 35-1 or by email at info@lnpa.lu
Anonymous complaints are not accepted.
